The 6th generation model is expected to hit the dealer in the year of 2016 and nothing much has been released by the manufacturers of the car but some forums who have managed to get the inside information through sources claim that the public can expect the drastic changes in this new model of the Camaro. The lovers of the Camaro can expect major changes in the configuration.
• The biggest change is the addition of the Camaro models in its already existing models. Till date the models are LS, LT and SS models and the anticipated models are Z/28 and Z-Spec. The models are certainly going to enhance the sales of the car as they are expected completely to be stylish and elegant.
• These new models are expected to play the significant role. The Z/28 is expected to be the topmost model under the ZL1 category and the Z-Spec is expected to be the first in the basic coupe of the Camaro.
• The next big drastic change that is expected in the car is now the GM will not be using the V8 or V6 to power the Chevrolet Camaro but rather a turbo-charged 2.0L I4 engine. No doubt the GM has not yet confirmed the information but it came as a shock to many car lovers. The engine is expected to give the rating of the 260-325 HP. The Z-spec model will be having the six speed automatic transmission with an option of the six-speed manual. The gas mileage is expected to come in the high figures and the car is considered a fuel-efficient car. The estimated EPA figures are 34 MPG in the city and 47 MPG on the highways.
• The SS and Z/28 models will be running using the Gen V small-block 6.2L V8. Both these models are expected to come with the 8 speed automatic or the seven speed manual transmission of the engine having the rating of 440-490 HP.
