Car of the day – Second generation Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 V8 1920×1080 HD
The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 was one of the most powerful Mustangs in the year 1967, with 360 hp. This car was known for its excellent performance and is characterized by its unique taillights from Mercury Cougar and its wide body stripes. After several years, GT500 now made its comeback ‘Gone in Sixty Seconds’ remake alongside Nicholas Cage.
The second generation Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is a true personification of its eminent forbear, along with an overall retro character. This car lays the maximum possible power on the pavement with secondary concern to go around corners.
The engine of the second generation Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has a unique oil system, a ‘roots-type’ super charger, and cast iron block. This makes the engine not free revving or powerful enough, although being a muscle car keeps up GT500’s mission, which is to go fast, make rough noises, and obliterate tires. This car can speed up from 0 to 60 MPH in around 4.6 seconds, covering the distance of a quarter mile in less than 13 seconds.
The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 gives a very high performance. It is available in convertible and coupe body styles, seating four comfortably. Its exteriors include Goodyear F1 tires and 18-inch alloy wheels. It even comes with a soft top that is power operated and has xenon lights. The capacity of its trunk is around 9.7 cubic feet in the convertible and 12.3 cubic feet in the coupe.
The GT500 is just a good muscle car made for our modern generation. It has almost everything you want from a good muscle car.
