1968 Chevrolet Camaro 350 V8 5-speed manual. The car has an amazing background and tonnes of history. Finished in Bright Yellow with black bucket seats and interior. Full rotisserie restoration undertaken in the US at a cost of $75,000 built to exacting standards and put on show at SEMA. Fitted with a Chevy small block 350 mated to a Keisler Perfect Fit 5-speed transmission and driveshaft. Detroit Locker differential. 4-wheel disc brakes. All new interior and gauges. Hedman ceramic coated headers, S/S Magnaflow dual exhaust. New brakes/suspension/bushings. Detailed engine and engine bay with mirrored hood, detailed gloss black underside and 17in TorqThrust Polished alloys.

I’ve just spent a fortune on having an electric cut out exhaust fitted so it sounds incredible now. It’s controlled via a fob on the keys so you can have it sounding crazy loud or neighbourhood friendly. The magnaflow exhaust system remains untouched, the downpipes were made out of mild steel so I had it built in to some custom stainless steel downpipes to future proof any rust. I also still have the original headlights for the car, I just preferred the look of modern halo lights, bit more user friendly as well.

I was never looking at selling this car, I bought it as an investment which I could use the odd dry weekend for a bit of fun. You’re probably well aware that cars like these are only going up in value hence the original reason I purchased this car. However, I’m at the stage where I need to prioritise buying a house so car will be funding a property.

The car has always been in dry storage and maintained to the highest of standards. It’s truly stunning in person and viewing the car is highly recommended.

Featured in several magazines and covering 5100 miles since (will rise very slightly). Incorporating new 68 Camaro Goodmark Sheetmetal this super sharp Camaro has been completely disassembled and frame off rotisserie restored with everything new or rebuilt, the build itself was overseen by the president of the Worldwide Camaro Club alongside other industry experts.

The Camaro Story – Let’s delve into the story behind this Camaro.

Fully restored and built to show at SEMA. The journey begins with the Camaro being built for the son of a fallen solider. Named the “Colton Camaro” after Shane Colton who was shot down over Bagdad in an Apache in 2004. Before venturing overseas, Shane and his son Lance, were in the process of building a Camaro worthy to be magazine featured, but more importantly teach his son how to build a car.

After word got out about the project offers came in thick and fast to help, from a NASCAR Team, Camaro Worldwide Club and SEMA. With donations and products continuing to come in, it was time to build the Chevrolet. As a full-blown project, the build started at the Central Texas Collage, a trade school right in Lance’s hometown so students including Lance were allowed to help and learn, overseen by ARMO (Automotive Restoration Market Organisation) and president of the Worldwide Camaro Club alongside other industry experts.

After a long build process and a lot of hard work it was showtime. The dream always was to show the Chevrolet at SEMA and they did just that in 2006! Under the lights, a packed crowd and even news outlets covering the big reveal.
