The 2013 Geneva Motor Show unveiled a new super car which is the 2014 Lamborghini Veneno with some serious power and even more serious price. All will be unveiled right now, so keep reading.
The engine of this new beast is basically the same as in the Lamborghini Aventador. It features the same 6.5-liter V12 engine, but its power has increased by 50 hp which is 750 hp (552 kW). Top speed also has increased by 3 mph, and now it is 220 mph which is equal to 354 km/h. The same four-wheel drive system and a 7-speed automatic transmission as in the Aventador model.
The new Lamborghini is also one of the rarest cars in the world. Its productions are limited to only 3 units and doesn’t matter a fact, all 3 units already have been ordered, it means, they’re sold out already! The owners, now, just need to wait until the end of the year before they get a chance to drive their cars, because the cars production aren’t finished yet. These 3 units also features 3 different colors – red, white, and green. That’s the same colors as you can find in the flag of Italy.
A lot of carbon fiber have been used on this car. The Veneno uses a carbon fiber tub – the same as the one in the Aventador model. Now the differences are only that in the Veneno model every single body panel is also made of carbon fiber, while in the Aventador, they’re aluminium or carbon fiber.
At first, rumors suggested that the new price of the Veneno will be around 4,600,000 USD (4.6 million $), but it was false rumors. The new price has been set at around 4,000,000 USD (4 million $).
A lot of great new cars were revealed at this new 2013 Geneva Motor Show, but the new Lamborghini took the spot light and got the most attention. The new Lamborghini can easily compete even with the new 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari which got a lot of attention as well after it was unveiled.
Lamborghini is celebrating and marking its 50th anniversary by releasing the new Veneno model into the world. If anyone want to know why the new model has been named as “Veneno”, here is the story — In 1914, in Spain, there was a bull named by this name. A matador who was riding the bull was killed by the same bull. In Spain, a word “Veneno” means poison — So that’s the story.
Knowing the fact that this new model is so expensive, but it’s basically not that different from the exterior looks of the Lamborghini Aventador model. With such a high price, they might have supposed to make it look more original. Sure, they’ve made some improvements on the engine and in the interior, and still, it’s truly a masterpiece car, but for such a high price, I would like something way different and more original when it comes to looks.
