In this article you can read about the automobiles with the best gas mileage, or in other words the most economical cars in the world today. But why should we bother about that at all?
Our planet is on the edge of a climate crisis, and the CO2 emissions are to blame for that. For many years, the US seem to be in complete denial stating that the CO2 emissions are not responsible for the thickening of the ozone layer. Well, nowadays, even our children know that this is not true and we are being self destructive. Transportation is responsible for over 30% of all C02 emissions, and if you take into account the fact that automobile manufacturers just keep on producing new vehicles, their number will increase while our oxygen and ozone layer will just keep on shrinking until the earth becomes uninhabitable.
This is a very serious problem, but as it has happened in the past, problems like this one can be cause for major revolutions and discoveries. As a matter of fact, we are witnessing a revolution in the making if we just take a look at the automotive industry, especially the one in Japan. The best gas mileage automobiles consume the least amount of gasoline so their emission of CO2 is minimum, which can only be a good thing for the environment. And besides, the amount of petrol or natural gas resources are not unlimited and in fact, we only have about 50 years worth of petrol left so we should use wisely whatever is left.
