A brutal crash between a white 2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 and a city truck on Foster Road, San Angelo, Texas, caused severe injuries to two people, according to a statement released by the San Angelo Police Department.
According to San Angelo police, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, police and San Angelo Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the 5300 block of Foster Road for a major two-vehicle crash with entrapment.
The driver of the Z28 Camaro, McKenna Bowie, 18, and the 16 year-old passenger, Austin Weeds, had to be cut from the wreckage.
The white Camaro’s driver, 18-year-old McKenna Bowie, remains hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit. The Camaro’s passenger, 16-year-old Austin Weeds, underwent emergency surgery and remains hospitalized. His current condition is still unknown.
The city truck’s driver, Ezra Ramirez, 29, only suffered minor injuries.
According to the investigation’s statement, the white Camaro was driving northbound at high speed on Foster Rd. toward Loop 306 when the driver lost control and was broad-sided by the city truck. The city truck was southbound, and the driver of the city truck reportedly noticed the white Camaro coming toward him and tried to avoid crashing into it. But the truck’s driver was unable to prevent the collision and the front of the city truck collided with the white Camaro’s passenger-side door, and the truck flipped, coming to a rest on its roof.
As you can see from the pictures, the Camaro is a total mess after the crash and is without a doubt a total write-off… another beautiful 4th gen Camaro is wasted…
