Vehicle Detail
1st gen 1968 Chevrolet Camaro YENKO clone For Sale.
1968 Camaro YENKO clone recently undergone a rotisserie restoration. This car was done in our shop for a client who wanted it perfect. The body had no rust but like most old cars had its share of dents and dings. So we replaced the trunk floor, rear body panel, rear valance, decklid, right quarter panel, right door, left fender, header, front valance and we added a new steel stinger hood and new hood hinges. The underbody was stripped and E coated then painted factory chassie black along with the firewall and front subframe.
All the suspension was removed and painted as well gloss black. The rear is mini tubed, and fitted with a shortened Ford 9 inch rear end with 32 spline Strange Axles and 410 gears, QA1 coilover shocks and a fourlink setup. The front is equipped with Detroit speed tubular A arms upper and lower, QA1 shocks up front as well. Disc brakes front and rear by Willwood. Wheels are Weld Aluma Stars. Tires are Micky Thompson, rears 28×12.50×15, fronts 26×7.50×15.
The body was E coated then primed with PPG high solids urethane primer then blocked, then primed again and blocked again. The Paint is PPG Global Black basecoat then the Yenko stripes were added in base then the whole car was clear coated with 4 coats of Global high solids clear. After that it was block sanded many grits many times and polished. This car is so straight you will love it. We are known for doing black cars right. Now for what it needs.
This car needs the complete interior, the sound and heat pads have been installed on the floor, it needs a engine, transmission, and dash componets, as well as all the glass. All the glass was old and all new glass is around 1100.00.
The owner decided to sell it at this point thats how I ended up with it. It was going towards being a Pro Touring or at this point can be just a mean Pro Street. I thought I would finish it but like most of us, too many cars too little time.
So there you have it. I will entertain offers but there is 35k invested in this car by the owner without counting the suspension or wheels. To see the complete restoration go to Facebook michael meives. $21,000.00 OBO or trade for convertible 67-69.
