Let’s have a look at them below:
Moving Your Car
You may use your car for certain parts of your move, such as looking around your new area, moving smaller, more fragile items, picking up forgotten items, etc. But it’s not always practical for you to use your car for the move, especially if you are hiring a van to move all your items, and now have to worry about how you are going to collect your car after the move if you don’t have someone who can drive it down behind the van. Most will jump straight to looking at trains or buses to get them to their old home to collect their car, however, Cars Relo may be a more sensible way to resolve the issue.
Your Registered Address
As a vehicle owner, it is your responsibility to ensure that your car is registered to your current home address along with your driving license. As soon as you move make sure this is on your list of tasks to get completed within the first week. Yes, you are going to have a lot of items on your to-do list but this one could come with a hefty fine if you leave it too late. Not only is your license used for identification purposes, but your car registration address also needs to be valid for important letters, police records for fines/parking tickets, and your insurance may be void if you haven’t updated the address. If you know you are going to be moving you need to ensure this is all up to date.
Your Insurance
Every single car insurance company will ask you to provide any changes to them when it comes to your car. This involves changing your vehicle, changing the drivers who use the vehicle, and the registered address amongst others. Because you are moving the registered address of your car is going to change, so is the location your car is kept overnight. These can affect the insurance rate that you pay for many reasons including the safety of your car because of the crime rates in the area. It’s a good idea to ring your insurance provider as soon as you know you are moving, they will be able to let you know when they need to have the relevant address information provided to them.
